Ogogo’s death monumental loss to creative, entertaiment industry - Yayi

Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has expressed deep sadness over the death of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, widely known as Ogogo. Hassan passed away after a battle with cancer.

I am greatly saddened by the death of a brother who believed and worked assiduously for my cause and the cause of our people. I sympathise with his immediate family for their efforts and struggles to keep the dearly departed alive following his illness. God knows best in all circumstances.

In a condolence message, Adeola, who is the APC governorship candidate for Ogun State and Senator representing Ogun West, described Hassan's death as a "monumental loss to the creative and entertainment industry." He extended his sympathies to Hassan's immediate family, acknowledging their efforts to support the actor during his illness. Adeola stated that the actor's contributions to societal betterment through filmmaking and advocacy would be remembered, leaving a legacy worthy of emulation.

The senator also promised ongoing support to Hassan's family during their time of need, assuring them that the patriarch's good deeds would not be forgotten. He concluded by praying for the peaceful repose of the actor's soul and for his family to find the strength to bear their loss.

News of Hassan's death was confirmed by multiple sources, including Seun Oloketuyi, founder of Best of Nollywood. Hassan's daughter, Kaira Taiwo, shared her grief and disbelief on Instagram. The actor's death followed appeals for medical assistance from his daughters, who had disclosed that doctors could no longer administer chemotherapy due to his condition, prompting the family to seek alternative treatments.
