Oman Games & eSports Committee organises ‘Al Qima’ summit championship

The Oman Games and eSports Committee recently concluded its two-day esports championship, codenamed 'Al Qima' (summit), in Muscat. The tournament successfully brought together 16 elite players from across the Sultanate of Oman, showcasing the nation's burgeoning esports talent and the sport's increasing popularity.

The primary objective of the 'Al Qima' championship was to foster engagement among national esports talents and to underscore the significant growth trajectory of esports within Oman. The event provided a platform for top players to compete and demonstrate their skills on a national stage.

Following intense competition, Lou'ay Al Saadi emerged as the champion, securing first place. Saleh Al Ghasani claimed the second position, with Fahd Al Kindi rounding out the top three by taking third place. The winners were celebrated for their exceptional performance and sportsmanship.

The closing ceremony was graced by Hisham bin Juma Al Sinani, Director General of Sportswelfare and Development at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth. Al Sinani congratulated the participants and lauded the organizers for their efforts in staging the tournament. He remarked that the event "reflects growing keenness in developing the sector of e-sports and empowering Omani talents," signaling strong governmental support for the discipline.
