Opening PSMTI Charity Walk and Health Day 2026, Pramono urges healthy living

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung opened the PSMTI Charity Walk and Health Day 2026 by urging residents to build healthy habits while strengthening cooperation across the capital’s diverse communities.

The event, organized by the Indonesian Association of Chinese Clan Social Associations, took place at the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout in Central Jakarta on Sunday during the city’s car-free day. Pramono praised the organizers for combining exercise, health services and social action in an event open to the public.

Alongside the walk and group exercise, residents could receive free health checks and acupuncture services. Pramono described the combination of a fun walk, exercise, basic health screening and acupuncture as a simple but concrete way to encourage healthy lifestyles and broaden access to basic health services.

Pramono said the Jakarta administration would continue creating opportunities for cooperation with social organizations, communities and other groups. “The Jakarta administration hopes that PSMTI and different elements of society will continue to serve as strategic partners for the government, especially in raising awareness of healthy living, strengthening social concern and improving residents’ welfare,” he said. He called such cooperation important for building a more inclusive Jakarta.
