Osuji's hat-trick powers Aluminij to first victory

Aluminij achieved their first victory in the Prva liga Telemach, triumphing 3-1 over Kalcer Radomlje in the fifth round. The win propelled Aluminij off the bottom of the league table, leaving them as the only team without a win prior to this match.

The foundation for Aluminij's success was laid in the opening 26 minutes, with Bede Osuji netting a hat-trick. Osuji opened the scoring in the eighth minute with a powerful shot from outside the box that goalkeeper Samo Pridgar mishandled. He doubled the lead in the 15th minute after latching onto a long ball and again beating Pridgar in a one-on-one situation. Osuji completed his hat-trick in the 26th minute, converting a low shot from 12 meters after a pass from Petar Petrišak.

Radomlje, playing without the suspended Matija Bobnar in defense, struggled to find their rhythm in the first half. Despite a more determined start to the second half and substitutions aimed at bolstering the attack, their comeback hopes were significantly diminished. The situation worsened in the 66th minute when Andrej Pogačar received a red card for a deliberate foul, reducing Radomlje to ten men.

Although Antonio Bosec scored for Radomlje in the 42nd minute, bringing the score to 3-1, the team could not capitalize on their numerical advantage in the second half. Aluminij, despite missing opportunities to extend their lead further in the closing minutes, managed the game effectively to secure the crucial three points.
