Paraguayan band Kuazar plays Hellfest in France, heads to Belgium's Graspop

Paraguayan thrash metal band Kuazar made history on June 20, 2026, by performing for the first time at the renowned Hellfest festival in Clisson, France. The band, hailing from Ciudad del Este, took the stage at the Hell Stage, showcasing their powerful sound and unique lyrical themes.

Kuazar's music blends heavy thrash metal with lyrics in Guaraní, drawing inspiration from Paraguayan history. The trio, composed of Josema González, Ratty González, and Marcelo Saracho, expressed their excitement on social media, calling the Hellfest experience "incredible" and announcing their next stop: Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium.

Following their performance at Hellfest, the band traveled to Belgium. They are set to perform at the Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel on Sunday. Their set is scheduled for 12:15 local time (07:15 in Paraguay) on the Jupiler Stage, and the performance will be broadcast live by the festival's official stream.

Kuazar's participation in both Hellfest and Graspop Metal Meeting is considered a significant achievement for Paraguayan music. The band highlighted that no other artist from Paraguay has previously performed at these two major international festivals, which attract thousands of attendees and feature prominent figures in the global metal and rock scene.
