Parking Dispute in Avcılar Erupts into Violence; Security Guard Beaten

An incident of shocking violence occurred yesterday evening in Avcılar, Istanbul, where a security guard was brutally assaulted by a group of individuals following a parking dispute. The altercation began around 8:00 PM in front of a 15-story residential complex in Merkez Mahallesi. A driver, attempting to park his car at the complex entrance, was warned by the on-duty security guard. This warning led to an argument between the two men.

Following the initial confrontation, the driver left the scene but returned approximately half an hour later with a larger group. This group then proceeded to attack the security guard, subjecting him to kicks and punches until he fell to the ground. The assault continued even as the guard was down. Fortunately, intervention from nearby citizens helped disperse the attackers, who then fled the scene.

The injured security guard was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. After receiving medical attention and obtaining a medical report documenting the assault, he was discharged. This violent incident highlights a disturbing trend of aggression and disregard for security personnel, raising concerns about public safety and the need for stricter enforcement against such acts of violence in residential areas.
