Passenger bus hits van in Turkey; 1 dead, 15 injured

A serious traffic accident occurred on the Afyonkarahisar-Antalya highway near the town of Sinanpaşa in Turkey when a passenger bus rear-ended a van. The collision tragically resulted in the death of the van's driver and left 15 other individuals injured.

The bus, operated by Kütahyalılar firm and driven by Z.Y., was traveling with license plate 43 KP 338. It struck the van, driven by H.S. with license plate 06 BFV 460, from behind. Emergency services, including health, gendarmerie, and police teams, were dispatched to the scene following the report of the crash.

Sadly, the driver of the van, identified as H.S., was pronounced dead at the scene. One passenger from the van and 14 individuals from the bus sustained injuries. The injured were promptly transported by ambulance to surrounding hospitals for medical treatment. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident.
