Paz Calls for National Dialogue, Plans to Submit New Laws

Following the conclusion of the subnational elections, President Rodrigo Paz has extended an invitation for a comprehensive national dialogue, urging all sectors of Bolivian society to participate. In a televised address, Paz emphasized the need to establish a unified national commitment and a transparent agenda to address the country's pressing issues.

The President announced that the Executive branch will begin submitting crucial legislation to the Parliament in May. These proposed laws are expected to cover key areas such as hydrocarbons, energy, and investments, signaling a proactive approach to economic development and resource management.

President Paz took the opportunity to address the stance of the Bolivian Workers' Confederation (COB), expressing his disappointment with their rejection of a negotiation table. He underscored the critical state of the nation and implied that such a refusal hinders the collective effort required to overcome current challenges.
