PBM Confident of Winning Seats in Future Elections

Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) is expressing confidence in its ability to secure victories in upcoming state and parliamentary elections. Party President Datuk Larry Sng Wei Shien believes PBM can achieve better results than other smaller parties, citing strong grassroots support, particularly in East Malaysia.

He emphasized that the party's immediate focus is on voicing the people's concerns. Decisions regarding election participation and potential alliances with other political parties will be made internally and closer to the election period.

Ronnie Liu Tian Khiew, a former DAP leader and new PBM member, addressed concerns that PBM's participation might split votes. He argued it's too early to predict the impact of new parties on voting patterns, as support can come from diverse segments of the population. Liu highlighted that social media has made voters more critical in evaluating parties' policies and promises.

Whether we will contest in future elections will be decided when it gets closer to the election.

"We cannot assume PBM will only take votes from one side. Do not underestimate the ability of new parties to attract public support," Liu said. "Voters will ultimately evaluate the party that can offer better hope and has the potential to deliver on its promises."
