PDP remains strongest party in Bauchi, gov aspirant declares

Usman Adamu, a governorship aspirant for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State, has boldly asserted that his party remains the dominant political force in the state, projecting confidence in their victory in the upcoming 2027 elections. Speaking during the submission of his expression of interest and nomination forms in Abuja, Adamu addressed concerns about political shifts, including the governor's move to the Allied Peoples Movement, stating that the electorate's wisdom will prevail.

Power and authority belong to God, and only he can decide the future with certainty. So I have no reliance on whoever you think. As far as I have that belief in God, I know God can do it.

Adamu's declaration emphasizes the deep-rooted connection between the PDP and the people of Bauchi. He articulated a strong belief in divine providence guiding political outcomes, stating, "Power and authority belong to God, and only he can decide the future with certainty." Bauchi State people are very wise. Even the former governor defeated an incumbent governor, so talk less of defeating a person who was imposed by the governor. I don’t think that will be a problem in Bauchi.

He further elaborated on the PDP's enduring strength, dismissing rumors of internal strife and clarifying the party's leadership recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Adamu stressed that any splinter groups attempting to sell forms are insignificant, asserting that "PDP is one, and we are strong." He anticipates increased unity within the party post-primaries, positioning them as a formidable threat to the incumbent Bauchi State Government.

As I always say, there is one party in Bauchi, which is the PDP. And for your information, PDP has its stronghold in Bauchi, and most of the people of Bauchi are PDP members. You cannot change them from that position.
