Pertamina to Lower Diesel Fuel Prices Starting June 1

Indonesia's state-owned oil company, Pertamina, announced a reduction in prices for certain non-subsidized diesel fuels, effective June 1, 2026. This adjustment aims to reflect market dynamics and comply with ministerial decrees regulating fuel pricing.

The price of Dexlite, a diesel fuel with a cetane number of 51, will decrease from Rp26,000 per liter in May to Rp23,000 per liter starting in June for the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek). Similarly, Pertamina Dex (CN 53) will see a price drop from Rp27,900 to Rp24,800 per liter.

In contrast, the price of Pertamax Turbo (RON 98) will rise to Rp20,750 per liter, up from Rp19,900 in May. However, Pertamina has maintained the prices for Pertamax (RON 92) at Rp12,300 per liter and Pertamax Green (RON 95) at Rp12,900 per liter since March. Subsidized fuels, including Pertalite and Biosolar, also remain at their current prices of Rp10,000 and Rp6,800 per liter, respectively.

These price adjustments are in line with Ministerial Decree No. 245.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2022, which amends previous regulations on the basic price formula for retail fuel sales. The decree governs the calculation of prices for various fuel types distributed through public fueling stations.
