This strategic initiative aims to transform these cooperatives into vital instruments for economic upliftment, ensuring that those receiving aid through the Family Hope Program (PKH) are integrated into a system that fosters self-sufficiency and economic growth.

The core of this plan involves leveraging Kopdes Merah Putih as a central hub for economic activity. It will serve to absorb the diverse production outputs of rural communities, ranging from agricultural and livestock products to handicrafts and other local goods. By acting as a primary offtaker, the cooperative will ensure a stable market for these products, thereby stimulating local economies and providing a sustainable income stream for its members.

Furthermore, the cooperative model promises to distribute annual profits, known as Sisa Hasil Usaha (SHU), among its members. This direct financial benefit is expected to significantly improve the welfare of PKH beneficiaries, accelerating their transition out of extreme poverty. Minister Ferry Juliantono emphasized that this synergy between government programs and cooperative structures is crucial for achieving the national goal of zero extreme poverty and building an economy that stands on its own feet.
