PN launches concise manifesto complementing BN's proposals

Perikatan Nasional (PN) has unveiled its manifesto in a concise format, deliberately omitting specific figures and detailed financial projections to enhance public comprehension. PN Chairman Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar explained that a manifesto's purpose is to present ideas to the public, distinguishing it from comprehensive government development plans.

"A manifesto is not the Malaysian Plan, which is full of numbers, but it is an idea that will be presented to the people," Samsuri stated during a press conference following the launch event at the Negeri Sembilan Pas Complex. He emphasized that while the teams drafting the manifesto meticulously reviewed figures, presenting them would make the document excessively long. The priority, he asserted, is clear communication in simple language that the public can easily understand.

The PN manifesto, presented on a single sheet of paper, outlines ideas for developing new investment packages in the aerospace sector. Key components include exploring and developing the Negeri Sembilan Blue Economic Plan, upgrading infrastructure for the oil and gas industry, and establishing a Negeri Sembilan TVET Secretariat with Tahfiz TVET programs. Samsuri highlighted that PN's manifesto serves as a complement to the one launched by Barisan Nasional (BN) the previous day, introducing 14 additional offers.

"What we presented tonight are the areas not mentioned in the BN manifesto," Samsuri explained. "That is what we call completing the overall manifesto that will be implemented if the BN-PN consensus takes over the Negeri Sembilan government." This collaborative approach aims to present a unified vision for the state, leveraging the strengths of both coalition partners.
