Shanghai-based AI startup StepFun introduced its "AI agent-native smartphone," the STEPX Neo, highlighting partnerships with major Chinese platforms like Alipay and Didi.

Market intelligence firm IDC noted that platforms are reluctant to grant AI agents broad access, as it could mean losing direct contact with their users.
