Poland condemns Russian missile attacks on Kyiv, vows increased support for Ukraine

Poland's Defense Minister has strongly condemned Russia's recent ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv, urging the international community to counter Russian aggression with increased determination. "The response of the free world cannot be war fatigue; the response must be even greater determination to fight Russian terror," the minister stated, emphasizing the need for a robust reaction to the ongoing conflict.

The minister further elaborated on Poland's commitment to regional security and its support for Ukraine. "This is why we are strengthening our defense, supporting Ukraine, which is draining the Kremlin's army forces, and developing strategic alliances within NATO and the European Union," he added. This stance underscores Poland's role as a key ally to Ukraine and a proponent of collective security measures against Russian actions.

This night, Russian ballistic missiles again flew towards Kyiv. Fires broke out due to the attack, buildings were destroyed in several districts of the Ukrainian capital, and people were injured. Overnight, Russia launched seven "Iskander-M" and S-400 type ballistic missiles targeting the Ukrainian capital. Ukrainian air defense forces successfully intercepted five of the incoming missiles. However, debris from the downed missiles caused damage in several districts of Kyiv. Fires were reported in a 18-story building in the Shevchenkivskyi district, where debris fell on the 7th and 8th floors, and additional fires were noted in the Desnianskyi and Solomianskyi districts.

Reports indicate that three residents were injured as a result of the strikes. The attacks highlight the persistent threat faced by Ukrainian civilians, even in the capital city, and the ongoing efforts of Ukraine's air defense systems to mitigate the impact of Russian aerial assaults.
