Poland's 2027 Matura and Eighth-Grade Exam Dates Announced by CKE

Students in Poland preparing for the end of primary and secondary school now have concrete dates for their crucial 2027 examinations. The Central Examination Commission (CKE) published the official schedule on August 20, detailing dates for both the eighth-grade exam and the matriculation exams (matura), including additional and retake sessions.

The main exam period for eighth-graders is set for May 10-12, 2027, with exams beginning at 9:00 AM daily. The sequence remains consistent: Polish language on May 10, mathematics on May 11, and a modern foreign language on May 12. The Polish exam is allocated 150 minutes, mathematics 125 minutes, and the foreign language exam 110 minutes. These results are significant for students' admission to post-secondary education.

For those unable to take the exams in May due to justified health or exceptional circumstances, a supplementary period is scheduled for June 9-11, 2027. Eighth-graders can expect their results by July 6, 2027. The CKE has also provided detailed information on the organization, adaptations, and necessary materials for the exams.

High school seniors will commence their matriculation exams on Tuesday, May 4, 2027, with the basic level Polish language exam. The written portion of the matura will run until May 24, while oral exams are scheduled from May 6 to May 31. The initial days focus on core subjects: Polish on May 4, mathematics on May 5, and a modern foreign language on May 6, all at the basic level. May 7 is dedicated to English at the advanced and bilingual levels, followed by other elective subjects throughout the following weeks.
