Poland Will Support Any Ally Attacked by Russia, Sikorski Says

Poland is ready to stand behind any ally attacked by Russia, Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski declared. “One for all, all for one,” he said, pledging that Poland and its allies would do whatever was necessary to support an ally under attack.

Sikorski stressed that Poland does not want to escalate tensions with Moscow. At the same time, he said Russia appears to be waging hybrid warfare against Poland and argued that Germany had also fallen victim to “a series of acts of state terrorism.”

Speaking after taking part in a meeting of European Union foreign ministers in Ireland, Sikorski voiced particular solidarity with Ukraine. “I would like to express Poland’s solidarity above all with Ukraine, which is attacked by the Russians almost every night,” he said. He added that Russian strikes on cities and civilian infrastructure constituted war crimes.
