Police arrest man with gun, military camouflage in Niger State

In a swift operation, Niger State police have apprehended Agada Isaac, a 30-year-old man found with a Beretta pistol and military camouflage gear in Bida. The arrest, made during routine patrol, highlights the ongoing efforts to maintain law and order in the state. Isaac's attempt to evade the police upon sighting them immediately raised suspicion, leading to his pursuit and eventual capture near his residence.

The suspect's possession of a firearm and military attire is a serious concern, especially given the security challenges in the region. During interrogation, Isaac reportedly admitted to being a member of the Vikings cult group and implicated an individual named Gideon, also known as "Starboy," from Suleja as his alleged arms supplier. He claimed to have purchased the pistol for N300,000.

On sighting the Police operatives, he stepped down from the motorcycle and took to his heels, which raised a strong suspicion.
