Police Checked What Was Hidden in Driver's Underwear: He Now Faces Long Years of Captivity

Lithuanian police apprehended a 31-year-old man in the Skuodas district after stopping his BMW and discovering drugs concealed in his underwear. The incident occurred on the evening of August 21, 2025, when officers noted the driver's suspicious and anxious behavior during a routine check.

A subsequent search revealed a plastic bag containing cannabis and four bags of cocaine hidden in the man's underwear. Investigations determined that the driver had purchased the drugs, totaling over 11 grams of cocaine and at least 9.5 grams of cannabis, for 1,300 euros in Kretinga on the same day. He was transporting these substances to the Skuodas district when intercepted by police.

Further investigation uncovered that a resident of Kretinga had acquired at least 41 grams of cocaine and approximately 40 grams of cannabis from an unidentified individual. It is suspected that the apprehended man sold a portion of these drugs to the Skuodas resident, with the remainder found and seized from his car and residence during searches.

The 31-year-old faces charges under Article 260, Part 1 of the Lithuanian Criminal Code, while a 30-year-old individual is charged under Part 2 of the same article. The law prescribes prison sentences of 2 to 8 years for the former and 8 to 10 years for the latter. The investigation was led by a prosecutor from the Klaipėda District Prosecutor's Office, with the case now transferred to the Plungė branch of the Klaipėda District Court for adjudication.
