Police probe death of man linked to former prosecutor Febrie Adriansyah

Jakarta police are investigating the death of Sutrimo, a 42-year-old man found dead on July 23, 2026. Sutrimo is reportedly the head of the household at the residence of Febrie Adriansyah, the former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Attorney General's Office.

Commissioner Budi Hermanto, Head of Public Relations for the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, confirmed that investigators are probing Sutrimo's connection to Adriansyah and other individuals. The police are collecting statements from Sutrimo's family, ambulance personnel, hospital staff, and anyone else who might have information about the incident. Medical records and details surrounding the ambulance booking are also under review.

According to initial reports, Sutrimo complained of feeling unwell to a friend on the morning of the incident and was taken to the Mordent Beauty Clinic in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. While at the clinic, he reportedly vomited and foamed at the mouth. An ambulance was called, but Sutrimo had passed away by the time it arrived. The clinic itself appears to be long closed and uninhabited.

Investigators are working to establish the chronology of Sutrimo's death, and Budi Hermanto stated that no conclusions can be drawn about the cause of death yet. The police have urged the public to avoid speculation and have promised to release updates as accountable facts emerge. Tempo's attempts to confirm Sutrimo's connection to Febrie Adriansyah with the former official's lawyer were met with silence.
