Police question 15 over clash on Jalan Tambak Menteng

Central Jakarta Police are actively investigating a recent clash on Jalan Tambak in Menteng, questioning around 15 individuals to determine the incident's origins and sequence of events. The investigation includes interviews with victims and witnesses, alongside a thorough examination of alleged property damage, specifically to the carts of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (UMKM) vendors, and accusations of assault against residents.

Kapolres Metro Jakarta Pusat Kombes Pol. Reynold EP Hutagalung stated that the police are conducting intensive security and examination processes. He emphasized that the investigation aims to fully uncover the causes of the confrontation and clarify the roles of each party involved based on the collected evidence. "Whether victims or those suspected of being perpetrators, they must be held accountable for their actions," Hutagalung remarked.

In addition to the broader questioning, police are intensifying their examination of three individuals, identified by the initials S, T, and U, who were apprehended in connection with the disturbance. These individuals are undergoing intensive questioning to ascertain the full details of how the incident began. The police investigation remains ongoing as they work to piece together a complete picture of the events.
