Polish cuisine ranks 14th in prestigious global food ranking by Taste Atlas

Poland's culinary scene has earned a strong international reputation, securing the 14th position out of 100 national cuisines in the latest World Food Finals ranking by the popular platform Taste Atlas. This high placement places Polish food above globally recognized cuisines like Vietnamese and Korean, which ranked 16th and 19th, respectively.

The prestigious ranking, compiled from over half a million user ratings, actively filters out "patriotic votes" to maintain objectivity. This ensures that the results reflect genuine user appreciation rather than nationalistic bias.

Italy continues to hold the top spot, with Greece and Peru rounding out the top three. The top 10 is heavily influenced by European cuisines, with Japan, Turkey, China, and Indonesia also featuring in the list. Taste Atlas, a service founded in 2015, aggregates information on global dishes, products, and restaurants, and regularly publishes various culinary rankings.

Among the Polish products highlighted for their appeal were strawberries, followed by various types of honey and regional cheeses like redykołka and oscypek. Traditional Polish dishes such as pierogi, naleśniki, żurek, and barszcz czerwony, along with desserts like sernik and pączki, were also noted for their popularity among users.
