Poll: Majority of Poles expect ruling coalition to lose power after next election

A recent poll suggests a significant portion of the Polish population expects the current ruling coalition, led by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, to lose power following the upcoming elections. The survey, conducted by United Surveys for Wirtualna Polska, found that 58.3% of respondents believe the coalition will not retain its authority.

The majority of Poles believe that the ruling coalition will not retain power after the next election.

Conversely, only 22.9% of those polled think the ruling coalition will maintain its grip on power, while 18.8% remain undecided. The sentiment among voters for the ruling coalition shows a higher degree of confidence, with 64% believing they will win re-election. However, 19% of their own supporters anticipate a loss, and 17% are unsure.

Nearly 23% of respondents disagree, with support primarily coming from ruling coalition voters.

The outlook is starkly different among opposition supporters, where 95% are convinced the current government will be ousted. Similarly, 96% of voters identifying with Konfederacja and Konfederacja Korony Polskiej expressed the belief that the ruling coalition will lose power. The poll, which involved 1000 adult participants, was conducted using a mix of telephone and online interviews from July 10-12, 2026.
