Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, has been recognized as Europe's most affordable holiday destination for 2026, according to a study by airport transfer company Hoppa. Known for its stunning architecture and rich history, the city has earned the nickname "City of a Hundred Spires."

The Hoppa analysis evaluated dozens of European cities based on various cost factors, including average hotel prices, the cost of a pint of beer, and the availability of attractions suitable for budget travelers. Prague emerged as the top choice for travelers seeking value without compromising on experience.

Visitors to Prague can expect to enjoy a meal for approximately 10.02 euros, while a local beer costs around 2.71 euros. The average price for a three-star hotel night stands at 101.50 euros. The city's historic center, with its numerous cafes and restaurants, offers an immersive experience that is easily accessible on foot, further reducing travel costs.

Prague boasts an impressive 619 attractions that can be visited on a budget. Iconic landmarks such as Prague Castle and the 17th-century Waldstein Garden are among the highlights. Many of these, including the Charles Bridge and Prague Castle complex, can be explored for free. The city's compact nature encourages walking, making it easy to discover its charm while saving money.

For longer distances, Prague offers an accessible and affordable public transportation system, including metro, trams, and buses.
