Presiden Prabowo Pimpin Ratas di Hambalang, Bahas Karhutla dan Bencana NTT

President Prabowo Subianto convened an extensive meeting at his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor, on Sunday afternoon to tackle critical issues of forest and land fires (karhutla) and disaster management in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The meeting, which lasted into the evening, involved key ministers and high-ranking officials from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI).

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya confirmed the strategic discussions, noting that President Prabowo specifically requested updates on the follow-up to his directives concerning disaster mitigation in NTT and the distribution of government aid. The meeting included the Commander of the TNI, General Agus Subiyanto, and the chiefs of staff for the army, navy, and air force.

During the session with military leaders, Prabowo discussed the deployment of resources, including 17 additional aircraft for water-bombing operations and 1,500 troops with personal equipment to combat fires in Kalimantan. He also ordered the dispatch of 200 pumps and pipes for underground fires, particularly in peatlands. Furthermore, the President addressed the reconstruction efforts and aid for earthquake victims in NTT.

President Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the swift actions of TNI soldiers and police personnel who are actively involved in firefighting and disaster response efforts in NTT. The meeting, as depicted in photos released by the Cabinet Secretariat, was also attended by other senior officials, including the Minister of State Secretary and the Head of the State Intelligence Agency.
