President Prabowo allocates Rp 5.41 trillion for regional roads, Kuningan receives Rp 10.8 billion

President Prabowo Subianto has inaugurated the 2025 Regional Road Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Program, a nationwide initiative allocating Rp 5.41 trillion from the state budget to improve 1,151 kilometers of regional roads across 37 provinces.

Kuningan Regency in West Java is among the beneficiaries, receiving Rp 10.8 billion for the rehabilitation of the 2.8-kilometer Cidahu-Luragung road. The project, to be executed by PT Bina Cipta Utama, is scheduled to commence in the third week of November and conclude by the end of December 2025. An additional 2.5-kilometer segment from Gunung Karung to Luragung is slated for completion in 2026, funded by a Special Allocation Fund (DAK) for roads, with an estimated budget of Rp 5 billion.

President Prabowo highlighted the strategic significance of developing regional roads, stating that they are crucial for boosting economic growth and bridging disparities between regions. "We are determined that no region should be left behind due to limited access. We must reduce logistics costs for all our people and our economy," the president said. He further elaborated that regional roads serve as the lifeblood of the economy, facilitating the distribution of agricultural, plantation, and fishery products, as well as other community products to markets and distribution centers.
