President to break ground on Masela Block; helipad construction accelerated

The Pattimura Regional Military Command is expediting the construction of a helipad in Lermatang Village, Tanimbar Islands, in anticipation of President Prabowo Subianto's visit on July 16, 2026. The President is scheduled to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the Masela Block National Strategic Project.

Major General Dody Triwinarto, the Commander of the Pattimura Regional Military Command, emphasized that the helipad's completion is a top priority to ensure all supporting facilities are ready for the President's arrival via presidential helicopter. He highlighted the helipad's tactical and strategic significance, noting its role as the primary arrival point for the President, a crucial access for medical evacuations, and a key element in ensuring the operational readiness of the TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces) in supporting regional development.

The existence of the helipad in Lermatang Village has very high tactical and strategic value. This will be the main access for the President's arrival, facilitate the medical evacuation route, and ensure the operational readiness of the TNI in supporting regional development.

Triwinarto has instructed all personnel to maximize available resources and capabilities to ensure the helipad is completed on time. He stressed the importance of adhering to safety, security, and technical standards throughout the construction process, urging the team to accelerate work without compromising the quality and integrity of the facility. The focus remains on delivering a high-quality, functional helipad that meets all necessary requirements for the presidential visit and its broader strategic purposes.
