Profeco reports more gas stations with prices below 24 pesos; highlights permanent monitoring

The Federal Consumer Prosecutor's Office (Profeco) announced an increase in gas stations offering gasoline below 24 pesos per liter and diesel below 27 pesos. Profeco's head, Iván Escalante Ruiz, stated that 162 stations now sell regular gasoline under the 24-peso mark, and 886 offer diesel below 27 pesos.

Escalante Ruiz highlighted Profeco's ongoing price monitoring through an interactive map. This tool aims to empower consumers by allowing them to easily identify stations with the most competitive prices. The agency's efforts are focused on ensuring fair pricing and providing transparency in the fuel market.

In addition to fuel prices, Profeco also shared findings from a quality assessment of 54 wet cat food products. The study evaluated commercial information and compliance with established standards. Escalante Ruiz advised consumers to consult the "Revista del Consumidor" for these quality studies before making pet product purchases.
