Prominent Mexican Influencer Shot Dead During Live Stream

A prominent Mexican opinion influencer, C. Gastelum, was fatally shot during a live stream on TikTok, shocking his nearly 600,000 followers. The incident occurred Tuesday evening as Gastelum was filming with friends outside a fast-food restaurant in Culiacan, the capital of Sinaloa state.

Footage from the live broadcast shows two assailants on a motorcycle pulling up to the group. One of the individuals then directly targets Gastelum and fires shots. Sinaloa state authorities confirmed Gastelum's death and have launched a large-scale security operation in response.
