PSG agrees with Barcelona on Ferran Torres transfer

Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona have reportedly reached a preliminary agreement for the transfer of Spanish forward Ferran Torres, with Spanish media citing a figure close to 50 million euros in guaranteed fees. The clubs are expected to finalize the transaction by exchanging documentation over the weekend.

Negotiations progressed rapidly after it became known that the attacker was keen on joining the European champions. Barcelona had initially rejected PSG's offer of 40 million euros plus 10 million in variables, but the revised deal is now set at approximately 50 million euros in guaranteed payments.

Given the imminent transfer, Barcelona has released Torres from his training obligations. The move sees Torres reunite with his former coach Luis Enrique at PSG. This transfer is part of PSG's offensive restructuring, following the departures of Gonçalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani, and the potential exit of Bradley Barcola.

At PSG, Torres will compete for a spot against players such as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué, and the recently signed Maghnes Akliouche. Last season, the forward scored 21 goals in 49 appearances, often stepping up due to Robert Lewandowski's injuries. Meanwhile, reports indicate that coach Hansi Flick's priority remains the signing of Julián Álvarez, with advanced negotiations underway with Manchester City for midfielder Rodri.
