PSG signs Belgian forward Mika Godts from Ajax for five seasons

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has officially announced the signing of Belgian forward Mika Godts from Ajax Amsterdam. The 21-year-old attacker has agreed to a five-year contract with the French club, and will wear the number 22 jersey.

Godts expressed his excitement about the move, stating he is "extremely proud to join one of the best clubs in the world." He conveyed his eagerness to wear the colors of the Paris-based team and experience playing at the Parc des Princes stadium in front of its fans. "I will give my all on the pitch to repay the confidence that the president, Luis Campos (the sporting director), and the coach, Luis Enrique, have placed in me," Godts added.

The Belgian international, who was not selected for the recent World Cup, had a standout season with Ajax. He joined their first team at 17 and recorded 17 goals and 15 assists in the past season, becoming one of the few players in the club's history to achieve such numbers in a single season.

Godts made his debut for the Belgian national team on March 28 and has since earned two caps for the 'Red Devils'. The transfer fee was not disclosed by PSG, though reports in recent days had suggested a figure around 55 million euros.
