Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku has officially become a new player for Fenerbahçe, following an agreement with Napoli for his permanent transfer to the Turkish club. Lukaku, who debuted with Napoli on August 31, 2024, played 45 matches and scored 15 goals for the Italian team, including the decisive goal that secured Napoli's fourth Scudetto against Cagliari, along with the Italian Super Cup.

After two years in Naples, the Belgian forward bids farewell to the city and heads to Turkey. Fenerbahçe announced his arrival at Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen Airport on Wednesday evening, aiming to inform their fans. Lukaku shared his first words as a Fenerbahçe player in a video released by the club, expressing his "contentment" and gratitude for the support.

Fenerbahçe recently secured a spot in the Champions League qualifying final stage after a 0-1 victory against Sturm Graz and will face Olympique de Lyon in their final qualifying match.
