Public university admission results for STPM leavers, equivalents announced Friday

Malaysians who have completed their Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent qualifications will soon know their fate regarding public university admissions for the 2026/2027 academic session. The Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) announced that the results for undergraduate program applications submitted through UPUOnline® will be released this Friday.

Students can access their admission decisions starting from noon on Friday until August 23 at 5 p.m. The results will be available on the official UPUOnline® portals (https://upu.mohe.gov.my and https://upu2.mohe.gov.my). Additionally, applicants can check their status via the Mobile UPUPocket and Mobile MyGov applications on their smartphones.

Successful candidates are required to formally accept or decline their offers between August 15 and August 23 via their respective university's website. Official offer letters will be issued by the public universities starting August 15, following the confirmation of acceptance. For those who are unsuccessful, the appeal process opens on August 14 and closes on August 23. Appeals must be submitted through the UPUOnline® portal.

The KPT emphasized that the admission offers for the 2026/2027 session are final. There will be no provision for changing programs or universities after acceptance. The appeal process is contingent upon available vacancies after new student registrations are completed, and selection will be based on these remaining spots. Inquiries regarding the UPUOnline® application process can be directed to the Student Admission Division of the Department of Higher Education in Putrajaya.
