Real Oruro punish San Antonio’s lack of finishing

Real Oruro made San Antonio pay for its wastefulness, winning 2-0 at the Jesús Bermúdez stadium and taking three valuable points in the fight near the bottom of the table.

The hosts struck after only four minutes. Vélez Nina received the ball on the right side and sent a waist-high cross into the area, where Vallejos arrived unmarked at the near post. His header redirected the ball toward the far post, and it rolled slowly into the net.

San Antonio responded by pushing for an equalizer. Adalid Terrazas and Rafael Menacho led the attack, but Real Oruro goalkeeper Álex Arancibia made several important saves. San Antonio continued to control possession after halftime, while Real Oruro defended in an organized way and looked to build attacks after winning the ball.

The Cochabamba side created several openings but again lacked precision in the final third. Real Oruro waited for its chance to finish the match, and it came in the 86th minute. Denis Pinto crossed from the right, Vélez Nina intercepted the ball, and it ended up in the net for the final score.

The victory lifted Real Oruro to 21 points and 11th place. San Antonio stayed on 17 points in 13th.
