Remi Tinubu splashes N50m on 1,000 traders in Iwo

The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has distributed N50 million to 1,000 women in the Iwo Local Government Area of Osun State to boost petty trading.

Tinubu, represented by Alhaja Sekinat Oyebamiji, wife of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, reiterated that the Renewed Hope Initiative is dedicated to improving the well-being of women and children. Speaking at the event in Iwo, she noted that the gesture is also part of efforts to reaffirm that the APC, as a party, will perform better for the people if elected in the August 15, 2026 election.

Beneficiaries were selected from various markets across the state. They were urged to invest the grants prudently to improve their businesses and their families' welfare. Mrs. Oyebamiji assured traders that an APC administration in Osun State would prioritize policies promoting the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises through access to grants, soft loans, business-friendly regulations, and entrepreneurship support programs.

The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, commended the initiative and called for increased investment in Iwo and the entire Osun West Senatorial District.
