Retaining wall collapses in Nevşehir: 3-story apartment building and kindergarten evacuated

A serious incident occurred in Nevşehir's Esentepe neighborhood where a retaining wall at a construction site collapsed, leading to significant damage to a nearby three-story apartment building and a kindergarten. The collapse caused parts of the apartment building's walls to crumble, creating a dangerous situation for residents.

Emergency services, including police, health, fire, and AFAD teams, were dispatched to the scene. They cordoned off the area and took necessary precautions. Both the apartment building and the kindergarten were evacuated due to the immediate risk they posed. Residents described being woken by a loud noise, initially thinking it was thunder, only to discover their homes were damaged.
