RIA organises 5th Research Skills Forum

The Research and Innovation Authority (RIA), in partnership with the Arab Open University in Oman, is hosting the 5th edition of its Research Skills Forum. The event, which commenced today and will continue until August 20, 2026, brings together 100 postgraduate researchers from higher education institutions across Oman.

Dr. Nisreen Yahya Al Balushi, who oversees Research and Innovation Capacity Building at the RIA, explained that the forum is designed to upgrade postgraduate students' skills. This initiative aligns with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, which emphasizes supporting scholarly research and innovation.

Dr. Al Balushi further elaborated that this year's forum specifically targets advanced analysis of statistical data. The goal is to boost researchers' proficiency in handling, interpreting, and enhancing the quality of their research findings. This focus aims to better equip them for publication in reputable scientific peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Hamad Hilal Al Yahmadi, Dean of the College of Education at the Arab Open University, stressed the importance of the ongoing strategic partnership with the RIA. He highlighted the forum's role in meeting postgraduate students' needs for modern statistical tools and the development of their research capabilities.
