RKKW Dominates Mid-Sized Law Firm Rankings in Poland Amidst Growing Competition

RKKW – Kwaśnicki, Wróbel & Partnerzy continues to lead the pack among law firms employing up to 50 lawyers, according to "Rzeczpospolita's" latest ranking. The firm earned four team awards in areas such as private client advisory, corporate law, M&A, business criminal law, and dispute resolution. Complementing these are four individual recognitions for its lawyers, including Karol Maciej Szymański for private client advisory, Marcin Olchowicz for business criminal law, Dariusz Kulgawczuk for disputes and arbitration, and Aneta Pankowska for intellectual property.

Karol Maciej Szymański, managing partner at RKKW, highlighted the firm's advantage in personal client engagement compared to larger firms. "We can be more personally involved in their matters, better understand their real needs, and more effectively match the team to achieve them," Szymański explained. He attributes this to the firm's flexibility and dynamic approach, avoiding the complex internal procedures common in larger organizations. While RKKW is traditionally known for its expertise in disputes, M&A, and corporate law, Szymański pointed to the growing significance of intellectual property and new technologies. "Intangible assets are becoming the foundation of economic sectors and are achieving values far greater than tangible ones," he stated. The firm is also increasingly involved in advising on the succession of family businesses, a complex process involving corporate restructuring, ensuring family security, and potentially preparing firms for sale. Szymański noted that many Polish family businesses, established in the early years of the post-communist era, are now entering a phase of leadership transition.

The ranking also featured Kondracki Celej Adwokaci and MFW Fiałek & Partners Law Firm, both securing second place ex aequo with six awards each. Kondracki Celej Adwokaci received team awards in M&A, private equity, and business criminal law, underscoring the competitive landscape among specialized legal practices.
