Road work on Huajiang Bridge, Provincial Highway 36 in New Taipei City to cause traffic control from Aug. 3

Motorists in New Taipei City should prepare for traffic control measures as road resurfacing projects commence on the Huajiang Bridge and Provincial Highway 36 starting August 3. The New Taipei City Public Works Department is undertaking these works to improve road conditions and driving quality.

The Huajiang Bridge, a vital link between Taipei and Banqiao, experiences heavy traffic. The motorcycle lane heading towards Banqiao shows signs of aging and poor drainage. To address this, milling and paving operations are scheduled for August 4-5, between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. During these hours, the entire motorcycle lane, the outermost car lane, and the ramp from the Taipei side of the Riverside Expressway towards Banqiao will be closed. Traffic will be rerouted via the Wanban Bridge.

Separately, sections of Provincial Highway 36 in Ruifang District, specifically from the Ruibin Road intersection to the Xiuchan Mountain Zhiyun Temple, will undergo resurfacing. This work will be conducted around the clock from August 3-4, with road surface removal during the day and paving at night. Both directions of Provincial Highway 36 will be closed during this period. Vehicles traveling to Yue Wang Road and Ruibin Road should use Provincial Highway 2 Ding.

Detour signs and warning facilities will be installed along the construction routes. Drivers are advised to follow on-site instructions. The construction schedule may be postponed due to rain or adverse weather conditions.
