Roads in Ankara to Close Today for Event at Anadolu Square

Ankara's General Directorate of Security has announced temporary road closures in the capital city today, May 27, to ensure security measures for an event scheduled at Anadolu Square.

The closures will affect several key routes around the square. Starting at 6 p.m. and continuing until 9 p.m., sections of Anıt Caddesi between Turgut Reis Caddesi and Anadolu Meydanı, along with connecting roads, may be closed if necessary.

More extensive closures will begin at noon and last until the event concludes. These include both directions of GMK Bulvarı between the Strazburg Caddesi intersection and Anadolu Meydanı, and all roads leading to them. Anıt Caddesi and its connecting roads will also be closed in both directions.

Additionally, Gençlik Caddesi between Akdeniz Caddesi and Anıt Caddesi, Dögol Caddesi between Beşevler Junction and Anadolu Meydanı, and Kazım Karabekir Caddesi between İstanbul Caddesi and Anadolu Meydanı will be closed to traffic in both directions. Certain side routes connecting Hipodrom Caddesi to Kazım Karabekir Caddesi and Anadolu Meydanı, as well as those connecting Celal Bayar Bulvarı to Kazım Karabekir Caddesi, will also be affected.

Furthermore, the Ankaray metro station at Anadolu Meydanı will be closed from 1 p.m. until the event ends. The public is advised to be aware of these disruptions.
