Roller Coaster Incident in Bishkek Under Investigation After Video Surfaces

Authorities in Bishkek have launched an investigation after a video surfaced online depicting an object detaching and falling from the "Boomerang" roller coaster at the SkyPark Baytik entertainment center. The footage, captured as the ride reached its apex, shows an unidentified item plummeting to the ground.

The Oktyabrsky District Department of Internal Affairs confirmed the incident has been registered and a preliminary inquiry is underway to establish all facts. The department has pledged to release further details upon completion of the investigation.

In response to the viral video, SkyPark Baytik's administration issued a statement clarifying that the footage was recorded on June 17. They identified the falling object as a decorative element used for Children's Day celebrations. The park asserts that this item was not an integral part of the roller coaster and had no impact on its operation. They emphasized that all rides undergo regular technical inspections and are functioning normally.

Despite the park's explanation, the police investigation will continue to ascertain the precise cause and origin of the fallen object, aiming to provide clarity on the incident.
