Romania shines at U19 World Rowing Championships with four medals, including two golds

Romania's junior rowers achieved a stellar performance at the U19 World Rowing Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, clinching a total of four medals. The delegation returned home with two gold and two bronze medals, marking an excellent start to the competition.

The most significant victories came in the men's pair and women's four categories. Radu-Andrei Enescu and Dumitru Cristian Pascari dominated the JM2- event, securing gold with a commanding performance. The women's four crew, comprising Ana-Maria Bordanc, Alexandra Daria Crăciun, Anca-Andreea Culidiuc, and Denisa Mihaela Vasilica, also claimed a world title, taking control of their race early and maintaining their lead to the finish line.

Further adding to Romania's success, Gabriela Costinela Ursu and Andreea Măriuca Dumitrașcu earned a bronze medal in the women's double sculls. The women's quadruple sculls crew, featuring Ioana Gabriela Cristescu, Francesca Iulia Stejar, Sonia Teodora Biță, and Daria-Elena Maximiuc, secured another bronze, completing the team's impressive medal haul.

The Romanian Rowing Federation celebrated the achievements, with a spokesperson noting the "very tight race, beautifully managed by our athletes. Congratulations!" Other Romanian crews also achieved strong placements, with the men's four finishing fifth in their B final and the women's pair securing fourth place in their event.
