Romanians are EU's poorest tourists: Over 61% cannot afford a week's vacation

Adding to the concerns, the use of vacation vouchers, a government initiative designed to boost the tourism sector, has seen a considerable decline. Redemptions for these vouchers have dropped by 60% this year, indicating reduced domestic travel and potentially signaling a weakening of the tourism industry or a decreased reliance on this specific support mechanism.
