SAIME Temporarily Suspends Services at Six Offices in Caracas and La Guaira Due to Seismic Emergency

Venezuela's Service of Identification, Migration, and Foreigners (SAIME) has announced the temporary suspension of in-person services at six of its offices. This measure affects locations in the Capital District and the state of La Guaira, enacted in response to a Presidential Decree of National Emergency.

The decree was issued following a significant double earthquake that struck the region on June 24. SAIME's decision to suspend operations at these specific offices is a direct compliance with the emergency measures put in place by the government.

In Caracas, the offices in the Sucre parish (Catia) and within the National Bolivarian Guard (GNB) facilities in El Paraíso will be inoperable. In La Guaira, the suspension impacts service points located in the state capital (Vargas I), Caraballeda, and Catia La Mar.

To ensure affected users receive their travel and identification documents, SAIME has arranged for passport and visa collections. Citizens can retrieve their documents from Monday, July 27, to Friday, July 31. They must visit the Correspondence Office at the central SAIME headquarters on Baralt Avenue in Caracas, which will operate continuously from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
