Saint International’s Fashion Face of the Caribbean set for August 29

Saint International, a leading model agency in the Caribbean for 26 years, is preparing for the finals of its Fashion Face of the Caribbean competition, scheduled for August 29. The event aims to unearth new talent with the potential for international success, building on the agency's history of launching successful models onto the global fashion scene.

This model search is the last in the series, and we’ve had five so far. I do believe this was the biggest one; not only in terms of the size of the turnout, but certainly the faces that turned out, they were remarkable. I do feel strongly that on August 29, when we have the finals of the Fashion Face of the Caribbean competition (for both male and female), several of these new discoveries will go on to bigger things.

Following a recent community model search at Jamaica College on July 26, more than 30 aspiring models were selected. Deiwight Peters, founder and CEO of Saint International, described this as the largest model search yet, both in terms of turnout and the remarkable quality of the faces discovered. He expressed strong confidence that several of these new discoveries will achieve significant success following the competition.

We have several top agencies who will be coming in for the event, who are representing the major fashion markets in New York, London, Milan, Paris, Germany, and even Spain and they are just excited to be coming to Jamaica.

The finals are attracting considerable international attention, with top modeling agencies from New York, London, Milan, Paris, Germany, and Spain confirming their attendance. Peters highlighted their excitement about coming to Jamaica to scout for fresh talent.

Well, I was impressed to see the young people come out for the model search because I know there is still talent all over Jamaica. Deiwight is a very reputable person, his agency has an impressive track record, and I have no doubt that several of these model hopefuls here today will become stars of tomorrow under Deiwight’s guidance.

Fayval Williams, Member of Parliament for St Andrew Eastern and Minister of Finance and the Public Service, attended the model search and praised Peters' work. She noted the abundance of talent across Jamaica and expressed no doubt that many of the hopefuls would become "stars of tomorrow" under Peters' guidance. Peters stated that the minister's presence validated the agency's efforts and the purpose of the model search, acknowledging the support of Jamaica College for hosting the event.
