Sainz: We took a small step forward but will keep pushing

Carlos Sainz reported a modest improvement for Williams at the British Grand Prix, attributing it to a new front wing. "We took a small step forward this weekend, perhaps less than we would have liked," Sainz said, noting that the upgrade seemed to work as intended by allowing them to beat the Haas cars.

However, the Spanish driver acknowledged the team's continued struggle to match the pace of the leading competitors. "Unfortunately, we don't have the pace of the top ten, but we will keep pushing," he stated. Sainz, a veteran with multiple wins and podiums in Formula One, is in his second season with Williams.

Despite the team's overall performance limitations, Sainz was pleased with his own qualifying effort. "Today's lap was probably one of the best of the season, with everything coming together," he commented, expressing optimism about what they might achieve over the rest of the weekend at Silverstone.
