Samsung Launches Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 with Distinct Chipsets for Indonesia

Samsung has officially unveiled its newest foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8, introducing notable enhancements to their design, memory configurations, and distinct chipset selections for the Indonesian market.

Across the board, the base models of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 come equipped with 12 GB of RAM, with internal storage options of 256 GB or 512 GB. The premium Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra pushes boundaries further, offering up to 16 GB of RAM and a massive 1 TB of internal storage.

A significant design overhaul marks the Galaxy Z Fold 8, which now boasts a wider body. This change aims to provide a more immersive screen experience, whether the device is folded or unfolded. The cover screen measures 5.5 inches, while the main display expands to 7.6 inches, with updated screen ratios designed for a larger viewing area.

Samsung is employing a differentiated chipset strategy for Indonesia. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 will be powered by the Exynos 2600 for Galaxy chipset. In contrast, both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, clearly segmenting the performance capabilities between the clamshell and book-style foldable models.

In terms of camera specifications, all foldable phones in this line feature a 10-megapixel front camera. The front-facing camera on the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and the cover camera on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 can record video up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. The internal camera of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 supports recording up to Full HD resolution. Regarding charging, Samsung has not yet fully integrated Qi2 support, requiring users to have a compatible case for magnetic wireless charging.
