Saudi Arabia Wins Seat on Asian Kickboxing Federation Board

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has achieved a significant milestone by securing a seat on the board of the Asian Kickboxing Federation. This victory, with Saudi Boxing and Kickboxing Federation President Ahmed Al-Towayan elected for a four-year term, underscores the growing recognition of Saudi sports prowess on the continental and global stages.

This election is a testament to the trust placed in Saudi national competencies to contribute to the development of martial arts across Asia. Al-Towayan expressed pride in this achievement, emphasizing that it reflects the confidence the Asian and global sports arenas have in the Kingdom. He attributed this success to the unwavering support from the wise leadership and the continuous guidance from the Minister of Sport and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal.

His extensive administrative background, particularly in sports, includes leading the Saudi Boxing and Kickboxing Federation since its inception in 2022. Under his leadership, the federation has seen significant organizational and performance improvements, including winning five medals at recent world championships and hosting numerous local events, all in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to increase sports participation.
