Saudi Interior Ministry Showcases Integrated AI Security Systems at LEAP 2026

Technology, the Saudi Interior Ministry says, should function as an interconnected security system rather than a collection of separate devices. At LEAP 2026, the ministry is presenting an approach that links modern technologies, data, artificial intelligence and digital solutions across its security and service operations.

The showcase brings together six systems: field security and safety, rapid response, road safety, security cameras, digital services and institutional services. Together, they comprise 36 services and projects. The ministry lists seven projects in field security and safety, eight in rapid response, three in road safety, seven involving security cameras, nine in digital services and two in institutional services.

The stated aim is to turn technology into operational capability. The systems are designed to improve readiness, speed up early intervention, make roads safer, expand monitoring, simplify user interactions and connect the different parts of the ministry’s institutional work. The presentation spans activity from the field and roads to command centers and digital services.

Thamer Alharbi, the assistant minister for technology affairs, said the ministry had used modern technologies and artificial intelligence to provide security, humanitarian services and public safety. Opening the ministry’s pavilion, he said its core mission remained protecting people, building trust and empowering service providers through strong digital capabilities.

Alharbi also highlighted Nafath, the national digital identity platform developed with the National Information Center. He said it serves more than 32 million beneficiaries across 1,245 linked platforms and has facilitated more than 6.5 billion transactions. Other initiatives include the Maidan Companion, which builds situational context and coordinates specialized emergency capabilities, and Absher Open Services, which supports regulated integration among multiple entities.
