Saudia Airlines Appreciates Strong Collaboration with Indonesia in Serving 101,860 Hajj Pilgrims

Saudia Airlines, the flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has formally acknowledged Indonesia's crucial role in the successful execution of the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage. The airline, alongside the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Jakarta, hosted an event to express gratitude to Indonesian government bodies, airport authorities, and strategic partners for their collaborative efforts.

Reham Zarei, Director of East Asia and Australia for Saudia Airlines, highlighted the event as a recognition of the synergy among all stakeholders. "This success is the result of the synergy of various stakeholders who have worked together to ensure that flight operations run safely, smoothly, and on time," she stated. The airline facilitated the travel of approximately 101,860 Indonesian Hajj pilgrims this season.

The airline operated flights from six major embarkation points across Indonesia: Jakarta (Pondok Gede and Bekasi), Batam, Palembang, Kertajati, and Surabaya. This extensive network underscores the significant logistical undertaking involved in transporting a large number of pilgrims.

The strengthening of collaboration between Saudia Airlines and Indonesian authorities aims to further improve the quality of Hajj services for Indonesian pilgrims in the coming years.
